All is now set for the the Construction of the First secondary school in Itire-Ikate LCDA, Surulere 2, Lagos by the lawmaker representing Surulere 1 federal constituency and Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The Speaker’s intervention follows requests to the National Assembly’s Speaker by the Council Chairman of Itire Ikate, APC-Party and Community Leaders in the area.
Since the creation of Itire Ikate LCDA, the area has not been privileged to have any secondary school, parents in Itire-Ikate do send their wards to public schools in neighbouring communities.
Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila accepted the challenge to extend his education intervention programmes to Surulere 2 Constituency.
The Council Chairman, Hon Ahmed Apatira in his passion to ensure that Itire-Ikate gets a befitting Secondary School has provided the required land for the Junior and Senior Secondary School project of Speaker Gbajabiamila.
The land was handed over to the Speaker’s team over the weekend for commencement of work.
RovingNaija reports that upon completion, the Speaker will hand over the running of the new public secondary school to the Lagos State Government.
