Speaker Appeals To Surulere Residents On Ongoing Road Constructions
The Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has appealed to residents of Surulere Local Government Area and its environs in Lagos to exercise some patience concerning the ongoing road constructions in the area.
In a statement he personally signed on Tuesday, the Speaker from Surulere 1, Constituency said the ongoing construction, which has led to the partial closure of some roads is designed to benefit the residents and users when completed.
“We sincerely apologize to road users along the Census – Babs Animashaun – Doyin – Orile junction road in Surulere, Lagos for any inconvenience caused by the partial closure of some sections of the road as part of the ongoing reconstruction and expansion of the road and census bridge.
He advised road users to make use of alternate roads as provided by the site Engineers and thanked them for their understanding.
“Whilst road users are advised to make use of alternative roads like Eric Moore road, Masha – Kilo road, Masha – Adelabu road, the Site Engineers have been advised to increase the pace of work to ease any burden on road users and businesses along the Babs Animashaun corridor.
“We shall continue in our response to the needs and yearnings of our constituents. Thanks for your understanding,” he said.
