The Nigeria Football Federation has denied reports making the rounds that it has sacked Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr.
Reports filtered in on Thursday morning that Rohr has been relieved of his position as the Eagles manager.
Speaking on Thursday, NFF Director of Communications Ademola Olajire said the football body is unaware of Rohr’s sack as there are process to follow before such decision can be taken.
“I’m not aware of Rohr’s sack because there are procedures for doing things at the federation.
“Before such a decision could be taken, there will be a meeting of the NFF board and a release issued to the public.
“As for now, I’m not aware of the sack. The online platform you claimed reported the story cannot announce his sack without confirmation from the NFF,” Olajire said.
Rohr took over as coach of the Nigeria senior national team in 2016.
