BREAKING: Man City Emerge EPL Champions As Leicester beat United

Manchester City have emerged as champions of the Premier League for the third time in four years.

Pep Guardiola’s men emerged as champions on Tuesday after their fierce rivals, Manchester United were beaten 2-1 at Old Trafford by Leicester City.

The Foxes who are gunning for Champions League football next season shot into the lead through Luke Thomas in the 10th minute

The 19-year old became the youngest player to score his first Premier League goal in a match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Leicester City’s lead was short-lived as Mason Greenwood restore parity for the home team five minutes after they fell behind.

The first half ended all square at 1-1 by half time

The defining moment of the game came in the 66th minute when Caglar Soyuncu scored what proved to be the winning goal to give the Foxes a further boost for their top-four finish aspiration.

That goal also effectively handed the title to Manchester City who are 10 points ahead with three matches to go.

This is United fifth defeat at Old Trafford this season

Indeed, Pep Guardiola’s side have been frontrunners for the Premier League title for a good chunk of the season, and it was only a matter time before they were confirmed as champions.

Manchester City already have the Carabao Cup trophy under their belt, but they still have their sights on winning the treble, with the Premier League and Champions League titles still on the horizon.
