Breaking: Supreme Court Affirms Oborevwori As Delta Governor, Dismisses Omo-Agege’s case

The Supreme Court has affirmed the election victory of Governor of Delta State Sheriff Oborevwori.

A five member panel unanimously dismissed an appeal the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, filed to challenge the outcome of the governorship election that was held in the state on March 18, 2023.

In its lead judgement delivered by Justice Inyang Okoro, the Court held that the appeal lacked merit.

The judgment was in agreement with that of the lower courts which held that the appellants were unable to prove the allegations of noncompliance contained in their petition.
