EPL: Super Ronaldo shoots Man United to victory again

Cristiano Ronaldo was the hero for Manchester United on Saturday as the Portuguese scored the only goal in the Red Devils’ hard earned lone goal victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Though the Canaries gave a good account of themselves against Ralf Rangnick’s men, the goal scored by Ronaldo from the penalty spot condemned them to yet another defeat.

For United they would be happy with their back-to-back clean sheets in the league under their new interim German handler.

Rangnick opted for 11 changes to the team that drew 1-1 with Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, but stuck with the same side that claimed a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace in his first match in charge last Sunday.

In an end-to-end game, Ronaldo’s penalty goal in the 75th-minute proved to be the difference at Carrow Road.

The Portuguese superstar was brought down in the box and he duly smashed the spot-kick home to secure three important points.

However, a win would not have been possible without yet more outstanding saves from David De Gea, particularly in the game’s final few minutes as the Canaries searched for an equaliser.

The Spaniard was in superb form once again and will be delighted to have recorded a second successive clean sheet
