At least nine persons lost their lives when gunmen attack a community in Plateau State.
The Plateau Police Spokesman Mr. Ubah Ogada said that there was an attack by gunmen on Pinau community in Ease Local Government Area of Plateau State and nine persons were killed and four were injured.
Mr. Ogaba said that the incident occured on Sunday evening around 4:30PM, which they organized security agencies to the scene immediately they received the call.
The security agencies arrested eight suspects and recovered 12 motorcycles.
“Upon receipt of the information, a combined team of policemen, men of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and other security agencies were mobilised and swiftly moved to the scene.
“Eight suspects were arrested and 12 motorcycles recovered from the scene,” he said.
The spokesman mention that they are doing everything possible to arrest the other member of the geng and also protect the community from further violence.
