Kaduna State Police Command said it has arrested 305 bandits suspect with 161 sophisticated weapons and 2,924 ammunition between January and November 2021.
In a statement on Wednesday by the police command, about 242 bandits are being prosecuted in various courts.
The commander announced that 168 kidnap victims were rescued and reunited with their families.
“The command under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Madussiru Abdullahi will remain focused in the discharge of these responsibilities,” noted the police statement. “The command enjoins all stakeholders in the fight against insecurity to desist from making comments capable of undermining the fight against banditry and other crimes, not just in Kaduna state, but the country at large.”
He also vow to arrest anyone who disrupt the peace of the state and also urged all Kaduna residents to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
