The Osun State Government has asked all persons who have taken two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderns, Pfier Bio-N-Tech, and one dose of Johnson and Johnson to take another booster of COVID-19 vaccine.
The commissioner for information and civic orientation Funke Egbemode disclosed this on Monday at Osogbo during a press briefing saying that the decision was made during the weekly Executive Council Meeting.
The commissioner stated that those eligible for the booster should be 18 years and above and have completed two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Pfizer Bio-N- Tech in the last six months, and those that took one dose of Johnson and Johnson in the last two months.
Egbemode revealed that the vaccine helps strengthen the immune system and also protects one against the virus. She encourages the citizens to take the vaccine as it is free of charge.
According to her, “The doses are available at the various local government headquarters.”
