Buhari reacts to killing of 45 farmers in Nasarawa State
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said that he sympathise with the families of the 45 farmers that were killed in Lafia, Obi, and Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
He said this in a statement released by his spokesman Garba Shedu on Tuesday.
“I assure the people with all seriousness and sensitivity that this administration is doing its best to safeguard the security of people and will leave no stone unturned in fishing out the perpetrators of this senseless and barbaric incident, and bring them to justice,” he said.
Buhari appreciated the state government for taking immediate action during the incident and also expresses his condolence to the people of the state.
On this note, the State Commissioner of Police, Adesina Soyemi assured the people of the state that they will do everything possible to ensure that they fight the murderers and bring them to book and also restore a peaceful state.
