Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy and others nominated for NAACP award

Wizkid, Fireboy, Tiwa Savage, Omah Lay, and Kidi have been nominated for image Awards in the outstanding International song category by the National Association for Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP).

This was announced on Tuesday night in a virtual event on NAACP’s Instagram channel, hosted by actress Kyla Pratt, Blackish actor Marcus Scribner, and Singer Tinashe.

Wizkid was nominated for ‘Essence’ featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, Fireboy DML was nominated for his hit song ‘Peru’, Tiwa Savage was nominated for ‘Somebody Son’ featuring Brandy, while Omah Lay and Kidi were nominated for their hit song ‘Understand’ and ‘Touch it’s respectively.

The winners will be announced during the two-hour live television special, which seven-time NAACP Image Awards winner Anthony Anderson will host, airing on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on BET.
