Why I went to London to meet Tinubu-Sanwo-Olu

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has defended his recent trip to London to meet with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

Roving Naija had reported that the duo met in London after the rumours that Tinubu was sick and hospitalised abroad.

Sanwo-Olu has now given an idea of what transpired when he met with Tinubu while speaking with journalists at the Lagos House, Ikeja,

According to the Governor, during his visit, he discussed happenings in the APC and other national issues with Tinubu.

He also said that the picture he took some pictures with Tinubu to dispel the rumours making the round that he was sick and hospitalised.

“You saw him in the picture, pictures don’t lies. He is well, healthy and we conversed. We talked about what is happening in our party and happenings in the nation.”

“I went to see things for myself. It is just to put the mind and heart of people to rest that there is nothing for us to worry about,” the governor said.

When asked when Asiwaju Tinubu would likely return to Nigeria, Sanwo-Olu responded that only the APC leader can decide when he will return from his foreign trip; saying, “a man has discretion as to decide when to go out of the country and when to return. It is his call.”
