REVEALED: Tinubu has shares in Man United, Apple
2023 Presidential hopeful Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a shareholder at English Premier League club Manchester United and tech giant Apple.
Former Reps Member and Director-General of the Tinubu Support Management Council, Abdulmumin Jibrin, made the revelation.
Joe Igbokwe, a special adviser to the governor of Lagos State on drainage and water resources, shared Jibrin’s statement on his Facebook page on Wednesday evening.
In the shared statement, Jibrin disclosed that he was ‘shocked’ when he discovered that Tinubu owned large shares in Apple corporation, one of the most valuable technology companies in the world and also owned a sizeable amount of shares in Manchester United, one of the biggest football clubs in the world.
Jibrin noted that he made this discovery while he was watching football with Tinubu recently.
The ex-lawmaker then went further to let people know that Tinubu has been funding Pro-democracy groups with his investments since the 90s.
“I was shocked to discover that Asiwaju has enormous shares in Apple Corporation, and also lately while watching football with him, I also discovered that he is a big shareholder in the Manchester United.
Asiwaju has been funding pro-democracy groups since the 1990s, using his investment to support them. No one has disputed this fact. Why were they not asking him where he got his money then?….”, the statement read.
