JUST IN: Anambra gov. Soludo reveals how much debt he inherited from Willie Obiano

Newly sworn-in Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo has revealed the amount of debt he inherited from immediate past governor Willie Obiano.

Soludo was sworn in on Thursday, taking over from Obiano, who is in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering.

Speaking on Arise TV Tuesday, Soludo said his predecessor, Willie Obiano left N300 million cash and a debt of over N400 billion as at December 2021.

According to Soludo, other financial details from January to date are still unavailable but will be made available as soon as possible because they’re public documents.
