Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has joined the list of presidential aspirants understand the platform of the All Progressive Congress.
The chairman Nigerian Governors Forum made his intention known during his consultation visit to the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Richard Olatunde, Fayemi was received by Governor Akeredolu at the EXCO Chamber of the governor’s office.
Speaking with the newsmen, Governor Fayemi said he was in the state for consultation ahead of the APC presidential primary election.
He stressed that the move is about making fundamental changes in the lives of the people.
Dr. Fayemi said he has the courage, knowledge, capacity, competence, experience and the Omoluabi virtues to drive the country in the right direction and bring the desired development in the country.
While saying that national cohesion is being challenged in the country, Governor Fayemi promised to engender national unity that everybody is yearning for.
The governor is the third aspirants from the Southwest to have declared to contest for president under the ruling party.
