Fayose Promises To Appoint Minister For Stomach Infrastructure If Elected President

Former Governor of Ekiti State and PDP presidential aspirant, Ayodele Fayose has promised to appoint minister for stomach infrastructure if he becomes president of Nigeria in 2023.

This was part of the project Fayose told the PDP presidential screening committee when he appeared before them in Abuja on Friday.

Asked about the stomach infrastructure project which he initiated in Ekiti during his second tenure as governor, Fayose told them that it was a commendable and successful project.

It was a project highly embraced by the people of the state which directly affected their lives during his tenure.

He therefore promised to introduce it at the federal level when he becomes president.

“I made it clear that I will have a minister for stomach infrastructure and welfare of the people,” he stated.

He, however, added that as much as tarring roads and providing other infrastructure is good, that would not be sufficient for hungry citizens.

“So, for me, stomach infrastructure is part of being supportive of the ordinary Nigerian. Stomach infrastructure under my watch as president of Nigeria will be a major theme.” He said.

“No one is saying here that you will not do the needful in terms of developing the country, part of development is the welfare and well-being of the people.”
