Breaking: Gunmen kill Naval and Police Officers in Anambra State

Reports just reaching RovingNaija indicates that that three military officers with the Nigerian Navy and three policemen have been killed in what is suspected to be coordinated attacks in two locations in Anambra state Thursday afternoon.

According to early information, the armed assailants attacked and killed the Navy officers at Awkuzu, in Oyi Local Government Area of the state while the three policemen were killed and their vehicle set on fire at Neni junction in Anaocha Local Government Area of the state.

Sources who wish not to be named said four naval officers were on duty when they were attacked by the armed men.

Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra state command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenganyia, who confirmed the incident declined to give details.

Another senior officer also confirmed the incident but could not confirm the number of casualties.
