2023: Don’t Expect A Better Nigeria If You Exchange Your Votes For Money- Shehu Sani Tells Delegates

Former Kaduna central senator, Shehu Sani has given a word of advice to delegates and also electorates who will be voting during the primaries and general election in 2023.

The Kaduna State governorship aspirant who was a guest on TVC Morning Show with Yori Folarin on Friday, said it is ridiculous to be going through the present situation in Nigeria and the masses who have the opportunity to change the narratives through their votes in 2023 will now vote for someone who have money to dish out.

As political parties are gradually inching close to their Primaries elections that will produce their flagbears to contest the 2023 general election, there are reports that aspirants with fat pockets are already going about wooing delegates with hefty cash.

It was also reported that some aspirants are spending dollars and have allegedly mopped up the dollars in circulation so as to meet their needs ahead of the primaries.

According to the former Kaduna central senator, if Nigerians allow money to determine the direction of votes this time, they should expect a worse situation than this after this administration.

He said presently, it is difficult to travel by air, rail or roads because of the level of insecurity. But if this election is not used to correct the mistake of the past, people will find it difficult to sleep in their houses or even work on the roads after 2023.

Sani explained that Nigerians cannot eat their cake and have it. They cannot be bribed to vote for candidate and expect the candidate to fix Nigeria. It is not possible to build something on nothing.

He noted that most of the aspirants who are wooing delegates with money have nothing to offer. They only want to get to power, steal money and leave the country worse than they met it.
