S/East People Won’t Want To Waste Their Votes On Peter Obi- Omokri Rules Obi Out Of Contest

Reno Omokri, the former spokesman to the immediate past president of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has ruled out any chance of Dr. Peter Obi having an upper hand in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.

Obi is the presidential candidate of Labour Party who will be jostling for the plum job alongside the likes of Atiku Abubakar of PDP and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC among others.

Many Nigerians believe he is a strong force capable of giving the two candidates from the two dominant parties a run for their money and clout.

The former governor of Anambra state is also popular among the Nigerian youths who are seriously rooting for him on social media.

Speaking on the chances of Obi emerging as Nigeria’s president in the 2023 general elections, Reno Omokri waves off any chance of winning even the South East votes where he is from.

According to Omokri who is a staunch supporter of the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi does not have the political clout to win presidential election with labour party.

He believes that labour party has no structure that can be leveraged on by its candidate and Peter Obi knows that. Even local government councilor or state house of assembly, Labour party cannot boast of one anywhere in the country.

“How do you expect such a party to win presidential election? It will take a miracle for such to happen in Nigeria. Even the people of the South East where Obi comes from will not want to waste their votes for such a candidate,” he said.

Reno Omokri believes that Atiku Abubakar is the only presidential candidate that has the solution to the current problems of Nigeria and also has the structure and capacity to win massively and bring PDP back to power.

Omokri stated this while appearing on the Monday edition of Arise TV Morning Show.
