Yoruba Actor Recounts How People Underrated Him In The Industry Because Of His Tribal Mark

Past bitter experience is always good to narrate when the story has become success. Such is the story of Olaniyi Afonja, the Yoruba Actor who is fondly known as Sanyeri.

A renowned comic relief thespian, Sayenri is one movie practitioner that knows how and where to strip off his fans with laughter while on stage.

However, that special talent in him didn’t just manifest for people to see without some elements of rejections and underrating from people.

Narrating his experience to Punch Newspaper in an edition that was published on Wednesday, Sanyeri said people never knew he would go far in the industry because of his tribal marks.

Of course, if there is one thing anyone will remember about Sanyeri, it is that his tribal mark. It is a characteristic trade mark that has brought him fame and fantasy in the entertainment industry.

But in the early days of his career, what now used to be his strength was what his colleagues and other people around him were using to discourage him. They told him he would not go far in the industry because of that tribal mark.

According to him, Rising in this industry wasn’t easy at all because he received a lot of backlashes from people on set daily. A lot of people also thought his tribal marks will limit his career but he got a new manager who helped him get rid of such difficulties.

“As for my tribal marks, I see it as my selling point; anyone hating me because of it doesn’t like me naturally.” Sanyeri stated this while granting an interview with Punch News.
