Chimanmada Adichie To Speak At Osinbajo’s Book Launch With Tinubu, Buhari In Attendance

The renowned literary icon, Chimanmada Adichie has been invited to give a keynote address at the Book Launch organized by the Nigerian Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

The book titled “The Osinbajo Strides” will be launched on May 1st. Chimanmada Adichie who will be one of the speakers at the event is expected to speak on the theme: “Inspiring A New Nigeria.”

Those who are expected to grace the event include Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo; President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, Vice President-Elect, Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, Chief Emeka Anyaoku and all State Govs; Senators and Reps members.

The event may likely provide the opportunity for Adichie and Tinubu to be in the same gathering after a heated social media controversy that greeted her open letter to the president of America, Joe Biden.

The famous Purple Hibiscus author had written a letter to the US president not to congratulate the Nigerian President-elect on the basis of irregularities of the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria.

The letter sparked outrage from the camp of Tinubu who lashed and lampooned Adichie on internet.

Despite the criticisms against her, the Nigerian born American writer refused to back down from her position against the election that produced Tinubu.

She will however seize the privilege of her invitation to speak at Osinbajo’s book launch to set the record straight and drive home her point about her open letter to Biden and her stance against Tinubu’s Emergence.
