The Accusation Fr. Mbaka Raised Before Concluding Peter Obi Can Never Be President Of Nigeria
Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka has given reasons why he believes that Dr. Peter Obi can never be president of Nigeria.
Obi is one of the strongest contenders for the 2023 presidential election. Since he made his defection from PDP to Labour Party and later won the party’s ticket, the former governor of Anambra State has been a major force in the political scene especially among the Youths who simply tagged themselves as “Obidients”.
But early on Thursday morning, social media came on fire with the statement released by the fierry preacher, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka who said Peter Obi can never be president of Nigeria.
According to Mbaka, Obi is too stingy for president. He is someone who cannot give his money to people and if such a person becomes president, the country will be worse for it.
Mbaka further threatened that he would close down his ministry if Peter Obi eventually emerges as president of Nigeria.
In his words, how can someone who cannot give his money to people become the president of Nigeria in this harsh biting economy? Except God does not exist that Peter Obi will be president.
He said it is better to have a good old man as president than Obi who is young, stingy and wicked. He asked people supporting him if they are insane for their decision to support the Labour Party Presidential candidate.
Mbaka also said it is now he sees Atiku Abubakar as a serious presidential candidate. Before now, he had never shown he is serious with his presidential ambition having picked Obi as his running mate.
The preacher stated that except Peter Obi comes to kneel in his church, he can never be president of Nigeria.
With Mbaka statement, it appears his major grouse with Dr. Peter Obi is the fact that he (Obi) doesn’t spend money like the regular politicians and as such, he believes he can never be president of Nigeria.
This is not the first time Mbaka will be verbally attacking the former governor of Anambra state. He had done a similar thing in 2019.
