105 Years Old Voter Explains What Motivated Her To Come Out & Vote During Ekiti Election
Mrs Felicia Fayomi is one voter in the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti state that will remain in the memories of many Nigerians who followed the electoral proceeding.
Since the 105 years old woman made her appearance at polling unit to cast her vote for candidate of her choice, her picture has been trending on social media.
But beyond her coming out to vote, there are other specular things that are worthy of mentioning about her personalities which she disclosed to Punch Newspaper correspondent on Saturday.
According to mama, she did not really know her real age neither did she know the exact date she was born. It was her children that did the calculation and arrived at 105 years as her real age.
Speaking on what motivated her to come out to vote in the governorship election, she said it was one of the candidates that motivated her.
She mentioned Segun Oni as her motivating factor. She said Segun Oni is a very good man whom she has known very well. She said she wants him to be governor of the state because she believes he is the only one that has solution to the problem of the state.
According to her, Segun Oni’s Mother and her were very closed when they were young. His mother used to give her money and they lived and grew together in the same environment.
When Segun Oni came out to cast his vote she danced to meet him and also prayed for him to win the election.Mama however placed a curse on whoever tries to rig the election that life of such person will forever remain invalid.
Unfortunately, Segun Oni who contested under the Social Democratic Party did not win the election. His rival, Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressive Congress was declared winner on Sunday morning having secured the highest votes and won 15 out of the 16 Local government in the state.
