Before July 16, PDP Will Have Become An Empty Shell In Osun – Sen. Ajibola Bashir
Senate spokesperson and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Osun State, Senator Ajibola Bashir has predicted what may likely become of People’s Democratic Party before the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Just like Ekiti, Osun will be holding a governorship election on July 16 to elect another governor that will lead the state for another four years. The People’s Democratic Party and All Progressive Congress are the two dominant parties in the election.
While senator Ademola Adeleke will fly the flag of the PDP, the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola is the candidate of the APC. The two heavyweight politicians who contested the election in 2018 will also be slugging it out for the second time in a row.
Speaking Wednesday on Channels TV over the chances of the opposition party in the state, Ajibola Bashir said the people of the state have rejected the party and can never come back to rule the State again.
According to him, PDP has no visible structure in Osun state and most of their chieftains have defected to APC. He said the only thing they have resolved into presently is the destruction of Oyetola’s campaign billboard and thuggery.
He noted that the party is also planning on how it will buy the electorates just as they tried to buy them in Ekiti last Saturday.
He said PDP has emanciated and before July 16 when the election will be conducted, it will have become an empty shell in Osun state.
The senator spoke on the Wednesday edition of Channel’s TV Politics Today where he was privileged to speak on varieties of issues about the just concluded Ekiti State governorship election and what to expect from APC in Osun State come July 16.
