Busted! One Of The Bishops Who Attended Shettima’s Unveiling Is APC Deputy Youths Leader

Facts are beginning to emerge on the real identities of some of the clergymen who showed up at the official unveiling ceremony of the All Progressive Congress vice presidential candidate on Wednesday.

The ceremony which was held at Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre, Abuja was graced by leaders of the ruling party, society members and journalists who came to witness the epoch making event.

However, the presence of clerics notably Bishops in their pristine cassocks triggered a public discourse and questions among many Nigerians.

RovingNaija recalls that the Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN had maintained its firm opposition to the choice of Shettima as vice presidential candidate of the ruling party saying it is against the principle of fairness, justice and equity.

The association promised to mobilize against the party’s candidate in the 2023 election if it does not reverse its decision and choose a Christian running mate from the North.

This was said to have formed the basis on which many Nigerians were shocked to see a league of clerics filing up at the entrance of the venue and struggling to gain access into the hall.

The development has prompted CAN to quickly react and disown the men of God who attended the ceremony, tagging them as desperados and not their members.

However, recent revelation on social media confirmed that one of the self acclaimed Bishops is actually a deputy youths leader of the All Progressive Congress, South East. His name is Ugo Ugokwe.

This was revealed by the right activist and Co-convener of the EndSars Movement, Rinu Oduala.

She simply wrote on her social media handle: “Behold, one of the hired Bishop today”.
