Update: Body Of Ondo Student Swept Away By Flood Recovered

The body of Motunrayo John, a JSS student of Mount Carmel Ikare, Akoko Ondo state who was swept away by flood has been found after three days of searching.

The lifeless body was discovered at the back of a hotel at Ugbe Akoko in Akoko Northeast local government.

The divisional Police officer for Ikare Akoko, Mr Olatujoye Akinwale confirmed the discovery of the corpse which he said had been released to the family for burial.

The father of late Motunrayo, Mr Ade John, a commercial motorcyclist from Iboropa Akoko described the death of his daughter as shocking, sad and devastating.

He recounted how he gave the deceased two hundred naira as transport fare from Ikare to Iboropa on the fateful day as he would not be available to pick her home but was later informed about the ugly development.

Mr John described Motunrayo as a kind and responsible child who would always carry out many domestic chores for the parents.
