Kwankwaso, Fayose follow Peter Obi footstep, visit Wike in Rivers

Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has continued to play host to top politicians and aspirants ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Wike lost the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election to Atiku Abubakar and was further hit with a major blow after he was snubbed by the former vice president as his running mate.

Ever since, there have been effort by politicians from various political parties to woo Wike who they believe command huge crowed and money.

The latest was Rabiu Kwankwaso, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who on Friday, held a meeting with Wike. Also present at the meeting was Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti.

The development comes hours after Peter Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party, met with Wike in Rivers.

Kwankwaso was said to be in Rivers for a meeting with his supporters ahead of the presidential election.
