If You Dwell On My Controversies, You Won’t See My Potentials & Values- Tonto Dikeh Speaks On Dep. Gov’ship Race 

Nollywood actress and musician, Tonto Dikeh has set the record straight on the link between the controversies trailing her broken relationship and how it will affect her political ambition in Rivers State.

Tonto Dikeh is currently in the race for Rivers State government House as running mate to the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress ADC, Tonte Ibraye. 

Ibraye made it known last week Friday his decision to make the actress his running mate. Since the announcement was made, many people who follow Tonto Dikeh on social media have revisited her past especially, her recently broken relationship as reason she might not get supports from Riverians.

They believe she does not posses the required leadership skills to occupy the seat she is vying for.

Responding to the controversies during the Thursday edition of Your View on TVC News, Tonto Dikeh disclosed that it is time to separate her from her past so that people don’t lose the value she possesses.

According to her, it is true that she has been locked in controversy over her relationship for sometimes but her case was made public because she is a celebrity. There are several young ladies that experienced a worse situation yet, nobody gets to know about it.

She explained that she walked out of her relationship in order not to lose her value and relevance in life. Tonto Dikeh believes she has all the qualities to change the political narratives in Nigeria if given the opportunity.

She noted that people should not judge her because of what happened to her. As a farmer, entertainer, engineer and responsible mother of one who is currently in leadership school, she has everything to bring to the table if elected into the office as deputy governor of Rivers State in 2023.

She said if people continue to dwell on the controversies that engulfed her broken relationship, they will lose her values and potentials.
