Akinwunmi Adesina Hints On What He Discussed With Sanusi About Nigeria While Coming From London

Great minds they say discuss great things while small minds discuss people.

While many Nigerians are currently busy discussing the presidential candidates of various political parties and their weaknesses, Former Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina and former Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi have another perspective of the situation.

Adesina who is the president of African Development Bank, ADC revealed on Sunday morning that he had a flight with Emir Lamido Sanusi from London and their content of discussion was centered around the Nigerian economy.

Adesina made this known on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday, saying it was a great thing traveling with Sanusi and all through their flight to Lagos, there was never a dull moment as their discussion veered from one area of economy to another.

The two men are some of the best products from Nigeria who did not only attain the peak of their career but are also making waves across the world.

While Lamido Sanusi, a former governor of Central Bank and Emir of Kano is internationally renowned for his financial prodigy, Adesina, a former Nigerian Minister of Agriculture and the current president of African Development Bank is a thoroughbred professional who is being celebrated world-wide.

Adesina disclosed that they could not stop discussing their common passion on economy, finance, political economy and development of Nigeria and Africa.

Adesina was once rumoured to be eyeing the presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress to contest the 2023 presidential election but he later debunked the rumour.

For Sanusi, Nigerians have not been seeing or hearing much from him since he was deposed by the Kano state governor and banished from the State.

While on the throne, he was renowned for his criticism of bad government policy and say things the way it should be without minding whose ox is gored.

The trip from London to Lagos by the two men further refreshed memories of Nigeirans about their exploits while in office as CBN Governor and Agric minister under Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
