Fake FBI Director In Nasarawa Gets Arraigned In Court By The EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned a fake Director of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, Adamu Yahaya Jiyaba before Justice N.I. Afolabi of the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on a one count bordering on cybercrime.
This according to reports is contained in a statement by the EFCC on its official Facebook page on Tuesday.

According to the charge, Adamu Yayaha Jiyaba, at some point in 2022 in Abuja, within the jurisdiction of the Honourable Court, attempted to commit an offence, to input a data that he is Robert S. Muller, the FBI Director, with the intention that such an inauthentic data will be considered or acted upon and he committed an offence contrary to Section 13 of the Cybercrime (Provision, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 which is very punishable under the same Section of the Act.

Adamu pleaded not guilty to the charge, while Justice Afolabi adjourned the matter till October 26 and 27 2022 for commencement of trial and Jiyaba was remanded in the Lafia Correctional Centre.
