2023: Aisha Yesufu Tells Tinubu, Atiku The Only Thing They Can Do To Win Peter Obi Of Labour Party 

Aisha Yesufu, the co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls and social political activist has suggested the only thing the ruling All Progressive Congress and leading opposition party, People’s Democratic Party can do to defeat the candidate of the Labour Party, Dr Peter Obi in the 2023 election.

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC is the only leading candidate among the three who is yet to pick a substantial running mate at the moment. 

While Atiku Abubakar of the PDP settled for governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, Peter Obi picked senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his vice presidential candidate and was officially unveiled last Friday.

Since the running mate issue became settled in the labour party, the movement for Obi’s presidency has taken a new dimension. It appears everyone has caught the Obidient’s fever as his supporters used to call themselves.

Writing on her verified twitter handle on Sunday, the unrepentant female activist and social critics, Aisha Yesufu explained the only thing APC and PDP cand do to defeat the former governor of Anambra State in the 2023 presidential election.

According to Aisha Yesufu, the two leading political parties may have to join forces before they can achieve that. She cited the momentum Obi’s movement is creating across the country and how it has cut across the regional and ethnic line.

Aisha Yesufu said: “The rate at which this is going, the call will soon be for PDP and APC to join forces for any of them to have hope of winning!

“Time is the enemy of politicians that have to spend money for anything to be done and the friend of the politician that the people are ready to spend for.”

In other word, Nigerian people have seen Peter Obi as the kind of politician they need to spend for to help them achieve the Nigeria of their dreams.

Despite the fact that campaign is yet to officially commence, Peter Obi’s movement has gathered such a massive momentum. What then will happen when the real politics begins?

This appears to be the bedrock on which Aisha Yesufu built her argument that PDP and APC may need to join forces before they can defeat Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.
