Funke Akindele Tells Lagos Youths What To Do After She Was Unveiled As PDP Dep. Gov’ship Candidate

Nollywood Actress, Funke Akindele appears to be the latest beautiful bride in the political space at the moment after being unveiled as running mate to the Lagos PDP Governorship Candidate, Olajide Oladiran.

Her announcement was coming amid controversies surrounding her failed marriage to the JJC Skillz a few weeks ago.

Barely a week after the announcement of separation by her ex-husband, the Nollywood superstar was nominated as Deputy Governorship Candidate in Lagos. She is expected to deploy the instrumentality of her profession and social tentacles to secure victory for the party in 2023.

On Tuesday, Akindele shared a video on her verified Instagram page where she advised youths in Lagos on what is expected of them ahead of 2023 general election.

She asked the Youths to take advantage of their numerical strength to make changes in 2023. She expect them to file behind the governorship candidate, Olajide Oladiran who is also perceived to be a youthful politician like her.

While confirming her choice of running mate to the PDP Governorship Candidate, Akindele said over the years, the Youths have been ignored, victimized and maimed for daring to dream.

She therefore called on all residents of Lagos especially the youths to rally round her so as to take their space in a matter concerning the affairs of Youths in Lagos.

Akindele believes that Olajide Oladiran and her are the right choice for lagosians in 2023 and she is ready to inject a fresh air in the state polity.

The star actress fondly known as Jennifer is the second Nollywood actress that will be picked as deputy Governorship Candidate ahead of 2023.

A few weeks ago, Tonto Dikeh emerged the deputy Governorship Candidate to the Rivers State ADC candidate, Tonte Ibraye.

Nigerians however appear not to have been convinced by their emergence owing to the similar scandal rocking their marriages.
