Osun APC Senator Reveals What Ademola Adeleke Said After Being Asked why He Should Be Elected As Gov.

Senator Ajibola Bashir, the Senator representing Osun West and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress has taken to his Twitter page on Monday to expose the response of Senator Ademola Adeleke to the question thrown at him by Channels TV during the governorship debate on Sunday.

Adeleke is the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for the state governorship election scheduled to hold this Saturday.

Five leading candidates from Labour party, APC, SDP, PDP and Accord party were grilled on Sunday by the TV station which was anchored by Seun Okinbaloye.

During the debate, some of the candidates were believed to have had a grasp of solution to the myriad of challenges confronting the state but contesting from political parties with no viable structures that can win governorship election.

The two major candidates that dominate centre of attention ahead of the July 16 election is the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress and senator Ademola Adeleke of the people’s democratic party.

The two candidates were also the major focus on Sunday during the debate.

While Oyetola is presenting facts and figures of his achievements in the last three and a half years in office and what how he will continue the legacies if reelected to the office, Adeleke however revealed what he would do afresh if offered the opportunity to govern the state.

However, in a tweet released by senator Ajibola Bashir on Monday morning, the Senate spokesman exposed the ideological somersault inherent in Adeleke’s response to a particular question.

According to the Senator, when Adeleke was asked why he think he is the best candidate to be elected as governor, the PDP governorship candidate responded that he won election in 2018. His father and brother were senators. That was the response he allegedly gave to the question on Sunday.

The response from the PDP candidate was believed to be defective, illogical and does not bear correlation to the question.
