ASUU Strike: How Do You Feel Running A System You Don’t Believe In?- Ahmed Musa Asks Nigeria’s Politicians

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has taken a swipe at Nigerian politicians whose children are schooling abroad and find it exciting to pay a visit to them and take picture with them in their various schools.

Musa’s comment is coming less than 24 hours after Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike attended his son’s convocation ceremony on Monday. Wike graced the occasion alongside other three Nigerian States Governors among who are Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Ikpeazu of Abia and Samuel Ortom of Benue.

Their pictures which were posted on social media on Monday became a major source of debate as many Nigerians expressed their outrage over the insensitivity of government to the plight of common man in Nigeria.

As part of criticisms the governor’s action generated, Ahmed Musa decided to lend his voice to that of average Nigerians who picked holes in the development.

Posting on his social media account on Tuesday, the Saudi based footballer asked the politicians how they feel running a system they do.

he Super Eagles captain asked the political office holders how they feel sending their children to school abroad, visiting and taking pictures with them while the children of people they claim to be governing are at home because of ASUU strike?

It has been almost two months that Academic Staff Union of Universities embarked on an indefinite strike with all efforts by stakeholders to broker peace between the union and federal government yielded no result.

Despite the needless industrial action, the government continues with electioneering activities ahead of 2023 without considering the plight of the harpless and helpless students.

It was on this basis Ahmed Musa joined his voice with that of Nigerians to condemn politicians who send their children to school abroad and find it comfortable to visit, take pictures with them and splash it on the internet in a show of mockery.
