APC Women Aspirants To Get Free Nomination Form But Pay For Expression Of Interest Form

As against the initial belief that women aspirants under the platform of the All Progressive Congress will obtain their nomination and expression of interest form free of charge, it has been made clear that they will have to pay for the forms.

Rising from the stakeholders meeting on Wednesday, the national publicity secretary of the party, Felix Morka said the women will have to cough out a whooping sum of 30 million naira for expression of interest form if they are eyeing the presidential ticket of the party.

The free nomination form was an attempt to encourage women participation in politics and decision making process of the country. 

The party has also pegged nomination and expression of interest form at 100 million for aspirants running for president under the party.

The decision was taken during the recent emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday April 20.

The party pegged the price of nomination forms for Governorship, Senate, and House of Representatives positions at N50 million, N20 million, and N10 million, respectively.

It also announced that the sale of forms starts on Saturday, April 23rd.
