Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, has won the 2022 CAF women’s player of the year award.
Oshoala beat Ajara Nchout Njoya (Cameroon & Internazionale Milano) and Grace Chanda (Zambia & BIIK Kazygurt) to retain the prize won in 2019.
In the men’s category, Senegal captain, Sadio Mane beat his Liverpool teammate, Mohamed Salah and compatriot Edouard Mendy of Chelsea to be crowned king of Africa.
Senegal coach Aliou Cisse won the Coach of the Year award, beating close rivals Carlos Queiroz (Egypt) and Walid Regragui (Wydad Athletic Club).
