Obi & LP Will Have To Fight PDP For 2nd Position Before They Can Challenge Tinubu In Court -Keyamo

The official spokesman of the All Progressive Congress presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo has revealed the possible process Peter Obi and the Labour Party may have to follow before they can slug it out with Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the court of law over the victory challenge between the party.

Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress was declared winner of the keenly contested presidential election which was held last Saturday, February 25, 2023.

His emergence as President-Elect has been a major source of controversy in the society as many people believe that the election was grossly manipulated by the electoral umpire.

The two leading oppositions, the People’s Democratic Party and Labour Party have however filed a lawsuit to challenge the outcome of the presidential polls.

Candidates of both parties, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are both claiming they won the election and want the court to declare them winner.

Speaking on the right of both candidates to claim victory, Festus Keyamo, through his verified twitter handle on Sunday, said Peter Obi and his labour party will have to contest with Atiku for a second position in court before he can challenge Tinubu for the first position.

He said: “Peter Obi & Labour Party will have to fight PDP for second position before they challenge Tinubu in court.”

Writing further on twitter, the Minister of Labour and Employment said: “Peter Obi & Labour Party cannot even come to court & ask to be declared winner straightaway; they have to first fight PDP in order to prove they came second, before they can have the temerity to face @officialABAT. So, there is no room for cooperation b/w Labour & PDP in court.”
