I’m hale and hearty – Oyo monarch reacts to death rumour
One of the misteries of life is to be alive but reading news about your own death.
Such a thing can be very demoralising and could psycologically affect a person for the rest of their life.
But for Oba AbdulRafiu Mustapha Osuolale Adeitain II, the Onjo Of Okeho, he did not allow such bad press to affect him.
The traditional ruler was reported to have died, but he was only admitted for ill health and has since been discharged by the medical doctors.
In a live video, the monarch admitted he was sick for some time but has long recovered after spending few days at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan.
“Truly, I was sick, and was taken to the University college hospital, Ibadan on the 18th Of July, till the Sunday 24th of July the day that the Aseyin died.
“I didn’t even know that he was also there at the hospital. It was later that I got to know that he died, which I was told on the second day.
“Hence, since I got home I have been treated well by by Doctors and I’ve been responding to treatment.
“I’m hale and hearty, I’m alive and I will live long.”
