PHOTOS: Security Officer Caught On Camera Assaulting Man With Cutlass In Public

A yet to be identified security officer has been caught on camera while assaulting a young man with a cutlass in the public.

In a tweeter thread shared by Punch Newspaper, the officer was seen carrying his gun with one hand while appearing to hit the man with a cutlass held in the other hand.

According to the tweet, the officer claimed that the man threatened him. He however did not disclose what the man did that really constituted a threat to him.

Every attempt by sympathizers to persuade and pacify the security operative did not yield any result as he continued to hit his victim with the side of the cutlass while the other person made no attempt to retaliate.

It is not however clear the sector of the security agency the officer is representing as he was seen wearing a cardigan on his uniform.

The video, which was shared by Punch Newspaper has been generating mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
