We have given security forces full freedom – Buhari speaks on attacks
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari says he has given security forces full freedom to end attacks in the country.
In a statement on Tuesday by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari condemned the recent attacks in Sokoto, Plateau and Kaduna, describing the incidents as “barbaric”.
Buhari, who paid condolences to the family and loved ones of the victims who lost their lives in the attacks, assured the state governments of the unwavering support of his administration.
“We have given security forces full freedom to deal with, and bring to end this madness,” he was quoted as saying.
“I condemn these barbaric attacks on the country. I wish to assure the states of all possible support from the government of the federation.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly.”
