2023: Atiku Appoints Dino Melaye, Adamawa-Born Current Affairs Analyst As Spokespersons
In a bid to put his best foot on ground ahead of the 2023 presidential election, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has named two people as his campaign spokespersons.
The newly appointed people are Senator Dino Melaye, a former lawmaker who represented Kogi West Senatorial District and Daniel Bwala, a public affairs analyst.
Their appointments was contained in a statement issued by Atiku’s media Aide, Paul Ibe on Thursday.
The two spokespersons whose appointment is with immediate effect are expected to promote, propagate and preach the gospel of Atiku’s candidacy and ensure he is perfectly branded and well presented to members of the public ahead of 2023 general election.
Dino Melaye, a controversial politician and vocal personality has been known as a dogged follower of Atiku before and after the primary. He openly declared his support for the former vice president during the build up to the PDP presidential primary. His appointment as spokesperson did not therefore come as a surprise to many Nigerians.
Daniel Bwala on the other hand is a former APC Chieftain who recently defected to PDP in protest of the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the party.
Bwala who made his defection known on twitter immediately Shettima was named as Tinubu’s running mate, has been a regular analyst and promoter of APC administration until his defection. He is a regular face on National Television.
The two appointees according to Paul Ibe will function with immediate effect.
