Bandits In Kaduna Kill Resident, Abduct A Rector And A Lady

Bandits have reportedly abducted the Rector of the School of Statistics, Manchok, in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as a source has also stated that the hoodlums also killed a resident during the attack on Monday.

According to the source, “The terrorists stormed the community at night and killed one person, while a lady was kidnapped, including the rector of the Federal School of Statistics.”

This attack is coming barely three weeks after two ad hoc workers in charge of the distribution of mosquito nets were killed in the same council area.

According to a resident in the area, identified as John Auta, the terrorists stormed the community with sophisticated weapons and shot sporadically before abducting the duo, as he further lamented that some communities in the council have been experiencing attacks and security operatives were not doing enough to arrest the situation.

Another source revealed that the hoodlums are yet to contact family members of the victims and the state police spokesman, DSP Mohammed Jalige, could not be reached by news men for comments as of the time of filing this report.
