I Feel Disappointed In You For Misleading The Public -Tinubu Campaign DG Hits Arise TV Analyst

Seasoned Broadcaster and News analyst, Rufai Oseni obviously met his match on Monday when he played host to the former Nigerian Minister of Communication Technology and Director General of Tinubu Campaign Organization, Adebayo Shittu on Arise TV.

Shittu was invited as a special guest on the Monday edition of Arise TV Morning Show where she was made to respond to questions bothering on several crisis rocking the All Progressive Congress.

It could be recalled that APC has been enmeshed in controversies and crisis since the emergence of former governor of Borno state, Senator Kashim Shettima as running mate to the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Trouble however started when Rufai veered from the question about the war of word between Former Ogun state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his predecessor, Dapo Abiodun and jumped to the Muslim Muslim ticket of the APC.

He asked the former Minister to respond to crisis that is currently rocking the party as a result of the decision of APC to field Muslim Muslim ticket. He said that a lot of Nigerians are angry about the decision and the minister should respond to that.

Angered by the question, Adebayo Shittu said he felt bad and disappointed in Rufai’s question and for misleading the public with his narrative. He said Rufai just sits down in the comfort of his room and studio and be putting words in Nigerians mouth.

How many Nigerians are angry? How many of them have you interviewed on the street to generalize that all Nigerians are not happy with APC Muslim Muslim ticket. I don’t know you and I have never met you before but I am competent to answer your question and you can’t force me to answer the ones I don’t want to answer.

The response from the former minister degenerated into an argument and confusion in the studio as the two parties struggled to mellow down for one another.

Shittu disclosed that Tinubu is not the only presidential candidate in Nigeria. There are about 18 political parties that field presidential candidate and Nigerians are at liberty to vote whoever they want if they are not satisfied with the APC Muslim Muslim ticket.

Adebayo Shittu posited this in the midst of argument and disagreement spilled from Rufai’s question.
