Why Do You Journalists Always See Nigeria’s Failure & Not Its Success?- Ex-Fed. Commissioner Fumes On Live Show

Anchors of Arise News Morning Show were on Monday checkmated and put in their place by their special guest who featured on the live show.

The bad day initially started between them and former minister of Communication Technology and Director General of Tinubu-Shettima Coalition, Adebayo Shittu. 

Adebayo Shittu had earlier dragged Rufai Oseni for asking him to respond to question that Nigerians are not happy with APC Muslim Muslim ticket.

While the session with Shittu ended on a Controversial note and viewers were anxiously hoping that their next guest would address issues and be diplomatic with his response, it however turned out to be another round of drama on TV.

Ibrahim Haruna, former Nigeria Federal Commissioner was all ready for the duo of Rufai Oseni and Tundun Abiola during the question and answer Show.

Trouble however started when the elder statesman was asked to comment on the statement made by Garba Shehu that President Muhammadu Buhari has done his best regarding the nagging security crisis presently rocking the entire nation.

He was also asked to comment on the style of Buhari’s administration if it is actually working for the country and how the Nigerian senators are theatening to impeach him based on the way he is handling the insecurity in the country.

Fumed by the question, Ibrahim Haruna questioned them on what they expect Buhari to do to what is happening. He said the president cannot use a decree to govern the country when we are not in a military system of government.

He explained that the president has been running the country in line with constitutional provisions. If he has been doing it in his own way, it is you Journalists that will still complain about the way Buhari rules the country.

The former federal commissioner stated that Rufai, Tundun and other Nigerian Journalists don’t always see something good in Buhari’s administration. They have all been emphasising and majoring on bad things that are happening in the country. He asked them why they don’t always see something good about Nigeria?

He noted that Nigerians are winning gold medal in the ongoing Commonwealth game in the UK but they are not talking about. Does it mean that nothing good has ever happened in this administration?

He described them as being pessimistic and negative about Nigeria. 

Reacting to the Senators’ moves to impeach the president, the Former federal Commissioner disclosed that the lawmakers are only embarking on a mission that cannot be accomplished. 

He asked that how many months left for the president to complete his tenure? He said he would wait to see how far the senators will go with their threat.
