Nigerians Have Choices, Tinubu Is Not The Only Presidential Candidate For 2023- Ex-Minister Defends Same Faith Ticket

If you are one of those who are crucifying the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing Kashim Shettima, a Muslim and former governor of Borno State as his running mate, you need to take note of the statement made by Adebayo Shittu, former Nigerian Minister of Communication Technology.

Adebayo who is the Director General of Tinubu-Shettima coalition was a special guest on Arise TV Morning Show on Monday where she was made to respond to series of questions bothering on the crisis rocking the ruling party.

The former Minister was also questioned on the decision of his party presidential candidate to settle for Muslim Muslim ticket despite the religion sensitivity of the country and agitation of Christians in the involvement of governance in the country.

Shittu while responding to controversies surrounding the same faith ticket of the APC made it known that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not the only presidential candidate jostling for 2023 election.

He said there are other 17 political parties that field presidential candidates and whoever is not satisfied with the Muslim Muslim ticket of the All Progressive Congress can switch to Any candidate of their choice.

Tinubu is just one out of the several people vying for the president and it is not a must you votes for him. Even if he picks a general overseer as his running mate, those who will not vote for him will still not vote for him.

People are just making mountain out of molunt hill. No one is talking about his capacity for the job. They are not talking about his past achievement neither his  passion about Nigerian state. All people are talking about is the fact that he chose a Muslim person as a running mate. Shittu said.

Adebayo Shittu however slammed the programme anchor for misleading Nigerians about the decision of Tinubu in picking Shettima as a running mate. He noted that Arise News are overflogging the matter beyond proportion.

He is however confident that the APC will win presidential election irrespective of whom he chose as his running mate.
