And the only thing she can use to bail herself out of her predicament is her newborn baby. And she decided to put him up for sale for a whooping sum of two milion naira.

Narrating how she was arrested, the Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police command, Chidi Nwabuzor said Ngozi had called the doctor of the hospital where she put to bed and requested to see him for a meeting.

During the meeting, she disclosed to the doctor she wanted to sell her baby. Asked why she was taking such a drastic decision, she said she was suffering and has no means of survival.

The doctor however excused her briefly and put a call through to the nearest divisional police station to the hospital. A police team was drafted into the venue and she was consequently arrested. She was breastfeeding the baby when she was arrested by the police.
