United Together, We Will Take Back Our Country From Bad Governance- Peter Obi Reacts To Calabar Rally
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Dr Peter Obi has reacted to the street march organized by his supporters in Calabar, the capital of Cross Rivers State on Saturday.
The rally which was staged by some youths who claimed to be supporters of the presidential candidate was said to have been largely successful due to how it was carefully designed and executed.
Despite the mammoth crowed that were involved in the exercise, there was no report of conflicts, attacks or any form of disturbance of peace of the residents of the City.
Branded themselves in white with others in red T-shirt, the group sensitized the public about the Candidacy of the former governor of Anambra state and what he is bringing onboard if elected as president of Nigeria.
Reacting to the development on verified twitter handle on Sunday, Peter Obi profusely thanked the supporters, told them their efforts are noted and will not go in vain.
In series of tweets that were posted on his handle, Peter Obi wrote:
“To the millions of young people in our country who have continued to advance the cause of our OBIdient Movement, I say Thank you.
In another thread, he wrote: “To our OBIdient Family in Calabar, Cross River State; your show of love and solidarity to the movement yesterday have added so much courage and greater zeal to our common mission.
While the third tweet went straight to the point.
“United together, we will take back our country from bad governance, and institute true and diligent leadership and sustainable development. It is our journey, and we will never labour in vain.
Nigeria’s Democracy must survive.”
Peter Obi is one of the strongest contenders for the plump job ahead of 2023. His message appears to have been more resonated with the youths who describes themselves as Obidients.
