The 21st edition of the National Sports Festival, NSF, will hold from 28 November till 10 December, 2022 in Delta State.

According to some of the disabled athletes who spoke to RovingNaija on Monday, the body of disabled sportsmen and women are disappointed that the ministry of sports decided to drop some of their members from participating in the festival after they have wasted a lot of time, energy and resources in preparing for the national sports event.

They said the action is most unfair and underscores the shoddy treatment the sports ministry exposes special athletes to even though such athletes have always thrown in their best for the country especially at international competitions.

They called on the ministry of sports to rescind it’s decision to exclude selected special athletes from the games and instead should work towards laying a solid foundation for disabled sportsmen and women to feature in many local competition to raise their competitiveness for international sports events.
