Christian-Christian Ticket Won In Osun, No One Talked About Christianization Of The State – Fani-Kayode

The debate on same faith ticket ahead of 2023 general election is still rife in the public and it does not seem like the storm will subside anytime soon.

The discussion appears to be taking a new dimension with the recent fact presented by the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode on his verified twitter handle on Thursday.

The former PDP Chieftain refreshed the memories of Nigerians on the recent development in Osun State where a Christian-Christian Ticket was adopted by the People’s Democratic Party and still won the election.

Ademola Adeleke, a Christian and the governor-elect of Osun state had run on the same ticket with Prince Kola Adewusi who is also a Christian. The PDP candidate defeated the sitting governor who ran on a Muslim-christian ticket for a second term.

Using this as his basis of argument, Femi Fani-Kayode explained that despite the same faith ticket in Osun, the PDP still won the election and Muslim in the state did not cry foul that they want to christianize the state.

But right now, everyone is talking about islamization of Nigeria because All Progressive Congress is presenting a same faith ticket with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima who are both Muslims.

Fani-Kayode had on Wednesday appeared on Channels TV Politics Today where he spoke on the reason he is giving his support to Bola Tinubu ahead of 2023 presidential election.

Less Than 24 hours after the TV Interview, FFK as fondly called is back on twitter platform to reinterate his support for Muslim Muslim ticket and why it should not be a big issue in the Nigerian political lexicon.
