Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Yekini Ayoku has disclosed that the state Command has injured four suspected bandits during an operation in one of the forests within the state.
Ayoku who briefed Sun Newspaper in an exclusive interview regarding the security situation in Kaduna, stated that the injured suspects were pronounced dead by a medical doctor after they were evacuated to Barah Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna.
According to him, the police operatives engaged the suspects in a fierce gun duel while on their way to deliver some dangerous weapons to their cohorts.
“The police tactical team in Kaduna state was able to terminally injure 4 outlaws with severe bullet wounds while they were retreating into the forest.” Sun Newspaper quoted CP Yekini Ayoku as saying.
The Commissioner of Police also disclosed that another suspect identified as Jane Dawi, of Vom Town, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State was also arrested.
